Child Watch

Position Summary

The YMCA is looking for energetic, caring, and responsible individuals to join our Child Watch team! Child Watch Staff provide a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for children while their parents and guardians use YMCA programs and facilities. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with kids and creating positive experiences for families.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in a safe, nurturing environment

• Lead age-appropriate games, crafts, and activities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care

• Communicate effectively with parents and YMCA staff

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Child Watch space

• Follow YMCA policies and safety procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Enjoy working with children of various ages

• Friendly, patient, and dependable

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Previous childcare or youth program experience preferred but not required

• Must pass background checks in accordance with YMCA policies
